We had a great team on this tour!
Pick up was prompt and on time, and upon arrival at the port we boarded the speedboat pretty quickly. The team offered sea sickness tablets and plenty of water was available throughout the day.
On our way to Koh Tao though, the sea was getting pretty rough, and only got worse once we reached open water.
The tour itself wasn’t bad, but the weather was! So although this isn’t a reflection on the actual tour (the team were great and everything was well organised), the tour should really have been cancelled in the morning, given that we expect the tour provider to check weather beforehand and be able to make a decision on what is safe and what is not. Over half the group on the boat were sick, and the experience was very scary indeed!
Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan are great islands, but in my opinion, over-rated.
Of course it would have been great to have more sun(!), but not much else to do here.
As mentioned, the team were fantastic and attentive during the extremely choppy speedboat ride, but it should have been cancelled for everyone’s safety. At some points, we were almost at a 90° degree angle to the sea!
Everything was perfectly organised. On time pick up at hotel. Light breakfast at pier, although I wouldn't recommend if you get seasick (better on an empty stomach as the trip is long and may get jumpy depending on sea conditions). Ken, the skipper, really nice fella. We made one stop in Mango Bay before heading fir Koh Tao for lunch. Then to Koh Nang Yuan for a two hours stop there for snorkelling or whatever you fancy. Back to Samui as fast as you can get. Always offering water and attending every need. Would do it again.
