About the Just Jungle Eco Safari tour

Welcome to Koh Samui! If you are an animal lover, the tours that include animal shows or elephant trekking might not appeal to you. That’s why we introduce the Just jungle Safari tour. It takes you around the highlights of Koh Samui without visiting any animal shows! Wonder at the mysterious Mummified Monk and hear the legend of the grandmother and grandfather rocks.

The tour starts with a pickup from your Hotel on Koh Samui by 4×4 Jeep (for private villas and residences, please contact us). From there we take you to the waterfalls South of the island, in Namuang. Here you can take a refreshing dip in the large natural pool under the waterfall. Next to it are the so called ‘Jungle water slides’, from where you can glide down the jungle into a built pool (optional extra 100 THB per person) On the way up into the mountains the jeep will stop at a zipline experience where you can choose to try a couple of ziplines (optional extra activity, additional charge to be paid on site if you wish to try) or simply relax under the shade of the trees.

A day trip full of activities

As we make our way into the mountains, we stop at a few places so you can enjoy the surroundings. There are some amazing viewpoints from where you can see quite a bit of Koh Samui. We drive along the dirt roads along the peaks of Samui with some exhilarating  off roading.

At the top of the mountain we stop for a tasty Thai lunch. Soft drinks and water are also included here, so you don’t have to bring your own. Enjoy your food while gazing at the amazing views from here.

Buddhas and rubber plantation

When you feel full, we head to the Magic Buddha Garden. You can find a lot of Buddha statues here, so you should definitely take your camera with you for those memory shots. The Huge Jungle Buddha is not far from here. We take you there as well. At the end of the day (usually around 16:00), we make our final stop at a rubber plantation. There you can see the ancient tradition of rubber tapping from trees. The people who usually work there will show you how they do it.

Time to go! Unfortunately all good things end. The day trip ends with a transfer back to your hotel. Book this trip online at great discounts here!

What should you know if you go on this tour?

For safety reasons, this tour is not recommended for pregnant women or infants under the age of 2yrs as the ride can get quite rough and bumpy from time to time.

Please note that use of the water slides is optional. If you choose to use them there is an additional fee of 100 Baht payable at the waterfalls

There is a lot of sightseeing on this tour. As you are driving an open 4×4 Jeep, you can take pictures around you all the time. There is a large off road element, making it very cool to drive up steep roads or descend through the jungle. The best camera spots on this trip are: Namuang Waterfalls, the mountain viewpoints, the Magic Buddha Garden and the rubber plantation.

Namuang Jungle Slides

You should bring a swimming suit on this tour. The reason is simple: did you ever slide down a waterslide through the jungle? Namuang waterfalls has 2 slides: 20 and 70 meters long. The entry fees are not included as this is an optional extra 100 Baht, so you should put on your swimming pants or suit, climb up and whizz down! It’s a once in a lifetime experience. Most months you can also swim under the waterfall. It can be quite chilly, but so refreshing!

Rubber plantation

Our final stop is at the rubber plantation. Here you can have a look at the way rubber is tapped from trees. As there are probably no rubber trees in your home country, it’s great to see how that actually works. When the tours have left, the workers get back to rubber tapping. It’s their daily life! Enjoy this last stop and we hope you enjoyed the Just Jungle Eco Safari tour without animal shows!

Just Jungle Safari Eco Tour

Absolutely amazing experience. It was sooo much fun. Soo much to do and just enough time to do it all. Took my 4 year old daughter along and she was thrilled to get to sit on the top. Best way to visit and appreciate the island.. I would recommend this trip definitely!!!

A ‘Must Do’

It was super easy to book online. Everything was smooth from pick up to drop off. The staff were friendly and have a wicked sense of humour. It was raining but that didn’t impact our day. We visited culturally significant sites before going to the waterfall. I wouldn’t recommend the water slides. I saw people getting injured. I would recommend just having a swim (if the water isn’t running to f

ast and with large volumes of water). The lunch was amazing. I do recommend riding on top but not if you have existing back injuries. There was so much more. I laughed so hard and I’ll never forget this awesome adventure. Thanks to the team.
